The Wine Turtle Contributors

Tim Edison

Although not having any formal training in wine, Tim has developed an irrefutable love wine and interest in anything related to it ever since he was a little kid. Coming from a family of wine lovers, it was from a young age that he got exposed to wine and the culture that goes with it and has been addicted ever since. Having traveled to dozens of wine regions across the world including those in France, Italy, California, Australia, and South Africa and tasted a large selection of their wines, it is with great joy that he hopes to share those experiences here and take you along on the journey.

Nancy is a US-based wine writer. When not on wine-related trips she enjoys following wine news including emerging regions (Chinese and Indian wine anyone?), acquisitions, and the politics of wine. She will enthusiastically bend your ear about her favorite wine tours and scandals, and tell anyone willing to listen that riding a bike through wine country is the best thing you can do for your soul. While particularly fond of South American reds her current favorite is Brooklyn Oenology’s Orange Gewürztraminer. Born and raised in New York City, Nancy resides in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Rhiannon Wild

Rhiannon Wild, after having lived New Zealand’s capital for most of her 20’s, moved to Marlborough, New Zealand’s wine making hub, for no reason than wanting to grow grapes. She was educated there with a Diploma in Viticulture & Wine Production, then went on to study her Bachelors Degree in Viticulture & Oenology (wine science). She has made wine, harvested grapes, tended them, diagnosed them, crushed, de-stemmed and pressed them. She has also traced wines compounds, chemicals and seen its atoms bond and break. In addition to wine, she also has a love affair with alternative fermented fruits, even honey for mead.
